Requests to promote research, events, and other opportunities are reviewed by a panel of BCHVN peers to decide whether they are appropriate to share on the BCHVN blog. We may choose to share promotional materials for your study, event, or other opportunity when we are satisfied that they appear non-stigmatizing, safe, likely to be of interest to the BCHVN blog readership, and that the opportunity is not for profit. Although we prioritize research and events that are non-clinical in nature, we recognize that some clinical research (for instance, novel psychological approaches) may be of particular interest to our readers. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

The decision to promote a particular opportunity on the BCHVN blog means that we have reviewed the material shared with us by the organizers and decided it may be of interest to some readers. The decision to participate is up to individuals. If you choose to participate in a study, event, or other opportunity advertised on the BCHVN blog, you should still make sure to carefully read consent, privacy, and other information provided by the organizers. Although we do our best to promote opportunities that are safe and respectful, the BCHVN is not responsible for research/events conducted by other organizations. Please contact us by email if you have any concerns about an opportunity shared on the BCHVN blog.
